Health Minister Christine Elliott visited St. Joseph's Health Centre, Toronto's new state-of-the-art Mental Health Emergency Service Unit. By giving those struggling with mental illness a safe place to receive care outside of the ER, we're taking another step towards ending hallway health care.

For Ontario hospitals, the federal carbon tax will raise heating costs by $10.9 million in 2019, soaring to $27.2 million in 2022. Our government will stand up for patients and protect our health care system by fighting against increased costs caused by this burdensome tax.
