New health care investments for Mississauga will allocate 457 new and 275 upgraded long-term care beds as part of our plan to end hallway health care. In just over a year, we have delivered almost half of the 15,000 new long-term care spaces promised over the next five years.

Another step towards ending hallway health care and reducing wait times in Halton Region. Premier Ford celebrated the grand opening of the newly expanded Joseph Brant Hospital today which includes a new ER and 172 in-patient beds.

Health Minister Christine Elliott announced $33 million for 193 new hospice beds across Ontario. This investment will take pressure off hospitals, helping to end hallway health care, and will provide more comfortable and dignified end-of-life care & support.
