New health care investments for Mississauga will allocate 457 new and 275 upgraded long-term care beds as part of our plan to end hallway health care. In just over a year, we have delivered almost half of the 15,000 new long-term care spaces promised over the next five years.

1 in 5 new jobs in the next 5 years will be trades-related and we've made it easier for apprentices to get their start. This week, the 30th Annual Skills Canada - Ontario Competition hosted 35,000 students to demonstrate their skills and compete in their respective trade or technology.

Our government is making life more affordable for students and their families. Tuition fees at colleges and universities are being reduced by 10% – and students will now have the choice to opt-in to pay for campus services they actually use, keeping more money in their pockets.

Today we introduced the Making Ontario Open for Business Act. If passed, it will reduce red tape & regulatory burdens on businesses, while looking out for the health & safety of workers. Our government is getting out of the way of job creators & making Ontario open for business.

Premier Ford is mandating Ontario colleges and universities to introduce a free speech policy by January 1, 2019. This policy will help protect free speech and foster learning environments that encourage freedom of thought and respectful and responsible debate.
